Kay Brandt tops her AVN Award-winning Babysitting the Baumgartners with a sequel that ups the number of characters and the complexity of the plot, creating more varied permutations of polyamorous love. Like the first movie, Adventures With the Baumgartners is based on an erotic novel by Selena Kitt—only this time the book and movie were released simultaneously.
Those who loved Brandt’s take on Babysitting the Baumgartners will enjoy getting reacquainted with all of the main characters from that movie, with equal care lavished on both the married couple at the center of the first movie—played by real-life pair Anikka Albrite and Mick Blue—and their two young nannies, Ronnie (Sara Luvv) and Gretchen (AJ Applegate), who have been living together as lovers for three years.
But what seems to have been a stable situation is now in flux. The movie begins with Gretchen watching as her girlfriend kisses a man—something she finds both arousing and upsetting. It’s just a dream ... but Gretchen turns that erotic energy into reality with a bout of morning sex with Ronnie. Gretchen still works as a nanny for Mrs. B and Doc, as they fondly call the Baumgartners, but Ronnie is now out of school and getting worried about finding a job. And she’s channeling a lot of that worry into workouts with her hot trainer, Vince (Xander Corvus). Which in turn is worrying Gretchen.
Over at the Baumgarters’ house, Mrs. B. is trying to help out her friend Daphne (Edyn Blair), who’s worried about daughter Paige (Katy Kiss). The girl is just 18, and Daphne thinks she’s getting too serious about boyfriend Tyler (Ricky Johnson), who’s pushing Paige to move in with him—and that’s something Paige’s dad (Derrick Pierce) won’t be thrilled about. So Mrs. B. comes up with a better idea: Why not let Paige move in with Gretchen and Ronnie, helping to take pressure off Ronnie to find a job?
That’s the basic set-up, and these nine characters proceed to bump up against each other in various delicious ways. Fans of voyeurism will get a charge out of the scene where Paige brings Tyler over and makes out with him in the living room before heading to their bedroom. Gretchen and Ronnie listen in the hallway while the other two fuck, creating sensual shadows on the wall. Gretchen arches her back while Ronnie uses one hand to play with her pussy and cups the other over Gretchen’s mouth. Then, as Ronnie kneels down to lick her lover’s pussy, Gretchen props her leg on the wall, creating another set of gorgeous shadows. Then the camera cuts back to the bedroom in time to see Tyler pop on Paige’s red bush … and Gretchen and Ronnie scurry out of the hallway.
As the movie progresses, Gretchen and Ronnie do a lot more than just watch their roommate and her lover. And Mrs. B. and Doc rekindle, in three different scenes, the intimacies they shared in the past with their friends Daphne and Ari.
Though most of the other scenes offer more active and elaborate sexual moves, one of the most sensual moments comes only in Mrs. B.’s imagination when she thinks about touching Gretchen. Watching the emotions flit across Albrite’s beautiful face, it’s easy to see that there’s room for further adventures with these characters—and Brandt and Kitt will be more than able to produce them.
