CYBERSPACE—According to a story posted on VladTv.com, adult performer Stacey Cash has passed away. Several sources told AVN that they had heard the former porn star died in her sleep on November 27; the cause of death is unknown, pending an autopsy.
The site that broke the news, VladTV.com, bills itself as a “leading source of celebrity interviews and urban news.” to link to the report.
According to the industry database IAFD.com, Cash was active in the industry beginning in 2001 and continued shooting until 2013. She has 168 titles listed on the site, covering a wide range of companies. Multiple sources agree that she was born on June 9, 1980.
News of her passing has begun to spread on social media. Performer Jada Fire was among those who tweeted about her death, stating “RIP STACY CASH you'll be forever missed.”
Although Cash’s Twitter page had not been updated recently, Cash been active on as recently as three days ago and still was connected socially with performers who are still active in the business. Performer/director Lexington Steele, who had worked with Cash a number of years ago, had seen the former performer “a couple months ago” and mentioned several industry figures who were still in contact with Cash.
Among the performers who knew her was Misty Stone, who said Cash was already established in the industry when she first got into the business. “We have hung out many times,” Stone said of Cash. “I remember growing up in the industry with her. Pinky, Roxy Reynolds—we kind of grew up in the industry together. It caught me by surprise that she was gone.”
Stone added, “She will be missed very much. We hate to lose such a wonderful person—sending all the love to her close friends and family.”
