Former Gay Performer Max Schutler Passes

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina—Max Schutler, a gay performer who started in the industry in 2007, has died.

Reports from note Schutler reportedly passed earlier this month; a cause of death was not immediately known.

Schutler, who was 35, was born in Argentina, and made headline news in 2008 when he was a leading candidate for the title of International Mr. Gay as the representative from Argentina, until he was asked to withdraw from the competition by organizers who found out about his porn career. He continued to performer regularly for a number of studios—including Lucas Entertainment, Raging Stallion, Hot House, Titan and more—until retiring in 2011. He returned in 2015 to perform a handful of scenes, but then retired again.

Throughout his career, he graced a number of box covers as well as magazine layouts.
